excited for lula!!

lula magazine from the u.k. should be hitting the magazine stands here in vancouver any day now and i can hardly wait!! if you’ve never picked up a copy of it, you really should. it’s more like a book than a magazine. the photographs in it are beautifully done and the style of the mag is so cute and fun! if only they issued it more frequently (it comes out just twice a year!). then again the suspense is kinda fun – you know that whole “worth the wait” thing!

i’ve always been a fan of theory, and their fall ‘08 collection doesn’t disappoint, it simply reaffirms my love for them! their designs are classy, sophisticated, yet have that edge to them. and they use the most gorgeous fabrics. take a look at just some of the looks. oh and check out their site ’cause you can play around mixing and matching tops and bottoms for different looks – it’s kinda fun! i wanted to post some of the photos here, but couldn’t ’cause the site is done in flash, so instead here are a few from shopbop:

chictopia

chictopia is a great site for viewing people’s personal style. it’s fun to look through all the different looks and muse on the things girls n’ guys are pairing together and get inspired! here are a few that caught my eye and necessitated a closer look.

i really like all three of these looks cuz they are each a bit edgy, but in different ways – the studded belt added to the first look (as well as the oversized black bag- yummy bag!); the chain headband and black bag/shoes of the second, and the casual tee/plaid skirt/heels combo in the third (plus her ink-coloured hair really seals the deal).

p.s. i really like the blue on the wall in the last one!

you can never have too many scarves, right?

saw this millions of smiles scarf on shopbop and this would be a great addition to any fall wardrobe. i’m very tempted to purchase it, though it’s a tad expensive at $125!

what are YOUR favorite jeans??

everyone has their favorite pair. for the last 6 months it’s been my straight leg habituals, they are so soft and comfy, and prior to that i was inseparable from my citizens of humanity avas (also straight leg). i have been toying with the idea of changing up from the straight leg to maybe a wide leg, or perhaps a flair. and with fall fast approaching i know i’m going to be tempted with many choices, especially considering the many already-existing brands as well as the many more breaking on to the scene. so i ask you, what are your favorite jeans?
